Post Texada wasteland...

Have been meaning to post about my vacation to Texada, cause its already a week and a half distant. But I have been feeling kinda "blah" lately. Going to Texada came at a great time, let me decompress and gave me time to just breath. I get wound up way to easily and stress is not my friend as it tends to creep up on me later (which it did just as we arrived on the island, but left quickly enough). Had a lovely time on the island, read "Gardens of the Moon" (an enjoyable high fantasy novel, gonna look for the sequels in the future), "Slaughter House 5" by Kurt Vonnegut (I know I am mis-spelling his name, but it was a great book, something I need to re-read), and read some Lovecraft which was nice (and promptly lost the book, tricky little necronomicon that it is). Drank alot, though not to excess very often, got high as well which I haven't done in ages. One of the things that has turned me off weed is the fact that after I smoke up, when I come down I end up with a massive headache. Didnt used to, but thats the way it goes now, so even though it was a very enjoyable high I dont think I am gonna renew my romance with mary jane. Took alot of photographs, and despite a fuck up on my part, most of them were fine. Got some beautiful shots of the sunset over an island, and some nice shots of the gang in the water with their Froth trophy and on the deck of Scott's cabin. Managed to drag my lazy ass off the chair and sketch and do a small painting (painting from life is not my forte). Also learned that clearly my feet are tasty to mosquito's.

In the mundane work continues to blow, and is pushing me off my ass to go find something else. Am also in the midst of sorting out my enrolment to BCIT, am hoping to be able to pull off the whole plumbing thing so that I can have a stable trade/job. Also the car continues to run, and the problem may have been solved, now onto the brakes and the muffler. "sighs"

Am listening to the new Depeche Mode single, and I like the beginning of the song, but not really the rest of it. Same thing with a Tori Amos song I downloaded from a friend, oddness. Also am desperately fighting to stay away from BSG spoilers, have had this pic of Tyrol staring at Gaius in the forest on Kobol as my desktop, and there has been some naughty thoughts that have come of those two...
